    Skin Tone
    Fair/Light – Light pink, coral, peach, nude, and dusty red colours.
    Medium – Rose, berry, cherry red, and mauve
    Tan – Deep pink, bright red, and most other colours except for brown and purple shades.
    Dark – Brown and purple shades like plum, caramel, wine, and blue-based reds.
  2. Identify Your Skin Undertone
    Undertones fall into three basic categories: warm, cool, and neutral—and each of these has tones
    within it. Knowing your skin undertone will definitely help you to choose the perfect lipstick
    Warm: If the base tone of your skin is yellow or gold, you have warm undertones.
    Fair or light skin – pale pink or peachy nudes; medium, tan or deep skin – copper or bronze shades.
    Cool: If you see hints of blue, pink or red, then you have cool undertones.
    Fair or light skin – soft mocha or nude; medium skin – pink or cranberry shades; tan or deep skin –
    ruby or wine shades.
    Neutral: If there’s a mixture of both warm and cool hues, or your undertone is the same
    colour as your actual skin colour, then you fall into the neutral category.
    Fair or light skin – pink hues, medium skin – mauve shades, tan or deep skin – berry colours.
  3. Size of the Lips
    Thin lips: avoid dark and flashy lipstick colours, they will only make your lips look even thinner. Try
    applying glosses and creamy lipsticks.
    Plump lips: avoid lipstick shades that are too light and glossy, glittery textures.
